Licenses and Licensing

Standard and Guidelines for the disposal of risky waste

All Waste Generators ( WG ) for the disposals of risky waste are required to contract with CWM Registered Service Providers ( RSP ) permitted under risky waste class.
Waste Generator shall subject application ( Annexure 6 ) through Registered Service Providers ( Annexure 7 ) along with all legal, administrative and proficient paperss ( Annexure 9 ) for papers checklist to be filled by Waste Generator to the Center of Waste management-Abu Dhabi through at any of the above mentioned offices in table 1.
Waste Generator must guarantee non to hive away any risky waste container near ADSSC Sewerage Water Network, Strom Water Network, Marine Environment, Marine Outfalls or Channel.
Waste Generator shall subject the undermentioned proficient paperss along with the legal and administrative paperss & A ; application:

Analysis Report from any ESMA commissioned research labs in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for the undermentioned wastes and the needed parameters1 as a lower limit:
For Sludge & A ; contaminated dirt – pH, Solids ( fixed/volatiles/total ) Moisture content, Oil content ( % by weight ) , chloride and Heavy Metallic elements ( As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Hg, Mo, Ni, Se and Zn ) . For contaminated dirts, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons and BTEX ( benzine, methylbenzene, ethyl benzine, and xylols ) shall besides be analysed if the taint is due to fuel spills etc.
For Used Oil – Free Oil ( % ) , Water Content ( % ) , Sediment ( % ) , Sulphur ( % ) , Entire Metallic elements ( ppm )
For Used Chemicals, inks, pigments, dissolvers, etc. – pH, volatiles, hydrocarbon, H2O content ( % ) , Flashpoint ( °C ) , Heavy Metallic elements

The research lab analysis study shall non be more than 1 month old reckoned from the day of the month when the sample was collected for analysis. New analysis study is required for every batch license application. The CWM may necessitate other trials to farther find the hazard nature of waste.
A reappraisal of Basel Convention Protocol Annexures shall be carried out by Waste Generator as specified in Annexure 1.
Disposal fee for every approved risky waste disposal application shall be considered as specified in Annexure 2.
Upon payment of disposal fee, the Waste Generator must obtain the risky waste manifest as specified in procedure flow ( Annexure 4 ) .
All permitted waste shall be disposed off merely into the designated site within 30 yearss reckoned from the day of the month of blessing or as per the agenda set by the disposal installation.
The Manifest shall be signed by the generator, the transporter and the operator of the waste direction installation in order to track the waste cargo and guarantee consistence of information.
It is compulsory to supply a transcript of manifest to the Waste Generator.
The importing of waste from other Emirates into the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for reuse, recycling, recycling or disposal is prohibited unless the Center of Waste Management-Abu Dhabi issues a NOC / Approval in progress.
Any waste, damaged goods or deteriorated material arriving in Abu Dhabi ports shall be considered imported waste and will non be accepted for disposal. Such waste stuff must be sent back to its topographic point of beginning. A cogent evidence of cargo or re-exportation of such waste out of Abu Dhabi shall be submitted to the CWM.
The exportation of risky waste from Abu Dhabi to another Emirate shall non be permitted where such waste will be treated or disposed of to a lesser environmental criterion than that which is readily available in Abu Dhabi.
The export of risky waste from UAE to another state is prohibited as per Basel Convention Protocol.
Any purpose of exporting risky waste shall follow with the demands of the Environment Agency and in conformity with the Basel Convention protocol on the Control of Trans-boundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal.
CWM defines risky wastes in conformity with the Basel Convention as described in Annexure 1 of this process.
The licensing and allowing blessing for the risky waste disposal / intervention will be based on the docudrama grounds which will be provided by the Waste Generator and Registered Service Providers.
